Dear Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Friends! We've received word that NY Senate Bill S.3126A, the Energy Efficiency Equity and Jobs Act is going to a vote in the NY Senate today! Alliance for a Green Economy, alongside others in the New York Energy Democracy Alliance, have worked hard on this bill, and we offer recognition to WE ACT for Environmental Justice for their strong leadership in getting to this point. Bill S.3126A is long-awaited and very necessary step to make sure New York’s energy efficiency programs benefit the low-income communities and communities of color that need and deserve these programs most, and to make sure people have healthy, safe, and efficient homes. Now we need YOUR help to get this bill passed! We need to generate many calls to NY Senators TODAY to make sure this bill gets over the finish line.
